Free Chronic Pain Webinar

I received this information today in an email and wanted to share it with anyone that is in chronic pain. There are other resources for chronic pain as well, it looks like a really good site. I hope you find this as interesting as I did. The following information is copied from the March University of Victoria newsletter.

Free webinars from the Canadian Institute for the Relief of Pain and Disability (CIRPD)

The Canadian Institute for the Relief of Pain and Disability has a mission to prevent and reduce chronic pain, chronic pain-related suffering and disability by creating and sharing evidence-based resources and information.
CIRPD is a registered charitable organization with the goal of translating high quality research into useful information for consumers, health professionals, human resource personnel and others with interests in pain, pain-related suffering and disability. CIRPD does not receive pharmaceutical support and relies on donations and unrestricted educational grants.  This organization offers free webinars and online education opportunities. To find out about upcoming webinars, you can join their webinar alert service.  The next scheduled webinar is on April 16 as part of the "Chronic Pain: Improving Life While Living It".  The speaker is Fernando Cervero, MD, PhD, DSc, speaking about brain mechanisms that generate the transition from acute to chronic pain and that contribute to pain hypersensitivity, and will discuss therapies that address this enhanced pain sensitivity. Visit the CIRPD website at for more information. Looks like a good webinar I will be attending,
